HOUSE FOR A SEA-SWIMMER
Our client bought this house because sea-swimming is her passion and it’s beside the Wooden Bridge and overlooks Bull Island. She wanted the house to take advantage of its fantastic views of Dublin Bay and to serve as a post-swim retreat for her and her friends.
The project formed part of the Irish Architecture Foundation’s 2022 Open House Dublin event, was featured in the Irish Times Home & Design supplement and was shortlisted in the Building and Architect of the Year awards 2022.
Client Testimonial:
“I had a fantastic experience with Brennan Furlong as the architects for my project. They listened to the vision and ideas that I had for the property and came up with solutions and designs that made it better than I was expecting. They helped me to get the high standard that I wanted within the budget that I had, recognising where the compromises could be made. Much of the design process took place online over Covid and it was a welcome and enjoyable distraction. They supported me throughout the process and sourced fantastic builders, specialised tradespeople and landscapers. We are truly delighted with the end result”.
